An older home with a fantastic view and lots of love in the land that encompassed it, but a woman losing a battle with her sight. So we embarked on a plan to help her enjoy her existing home with modifications to light and flow.
The existing covered porch was fully enclosed for a dining room; lots of windows were added; the wood stove was replaced with a pellet unit that was smaller and placed in the corner so additional windows could be added.
The main suite was redesigned with lots of natural light, a sitting area and a completely new bathroom and walk-in closet all to allows them the freedom of independence. The laundry was placed in the hallway, stackable, for convenience as well.
Being executed in phases. The clients were/are a pleasure to work with.
